Classifying Animals Cards Autism Science
Classifying Animals clip cards for students with autism and special education needs.
60 cards- 30 each of:
Level 1- picture of the animal in the center
Level 2- words only, no pictures
Your students will use clothes pins to clip their answers.
*Please note: These cards have been created for students who are at an early reading level. Therefore the categories used are mammal, insect , bird, fish & reptile. The word ‘amphibian’ is not included because it is difficult to read and to say ie frogs & toads are simply classed as reptiles in this activity.
To prepare- print, cut & laminate. Your students will use clothes pins to clip their answers.
This set can be used as an independent task, small group discussion activity, or 1-to-1 for direct teaching.
