Your students will read each scenario & then answer the question “What is happening? tantrum or meltdown”
These cards were created to help your students & their peers think about and the differences between tantrums (not getting what you want) and meltdowns (caused by sensory and/or anxiety triggers). Becoming more aware of their own triggers can help students develop some basic self advocacy skills.
To prepare- print, cut & laminate. Your students will use clothes pins to clip their answers.
This set can be used as independent task, or 1-to-1 activity for direct instruction.
